Policies

This policy covers chemical spraying of land owned or leased by Market Deeping Town Council.

Only trained members of staff who hold the relevant certificate are permitted to conductchemical spraying.

1. Protective clothing must be worn at all times when using chemical sprays including rubber gloves

2. No eating or drinking whilst using chemical sprays

3. All employees who use chemical sprays mustkeep their knowledge up to date withall COSHH regulations

4. Only approved chemical sprays must be used, including safety to humans, animals, wildlife and the environment. The list of approved chemical sprays can be found on the Health and Safety Executive Website at https://secure.pesticides.gov.uk/pestreg/ProdSearch.asp

5. Correct dispensing equipment must be used

6. Areas to be sprayed will be identified and directed by the Park Keeper

7. When spraying do not smoke, do not allow naked flames in the area

8. After spraying, thorough hand washing must take place
