Refuelling Policy
This policy covers the refuelling of all machinery, including but not exclusive to tractors and mowers, owned by or leased by Market Deeping Town Council.
a) Refuelling must be done in the open and over a refuelling mat
b) Before refuelling, switch off the engine/motor and allow the machinery to cool
c) When refuelling do not smoke, do not allow naked flames in the area
d) Use a funnel to minimise the risk of spillage
e) Spilt fuel must be made safe immediately using sand
