Memorial Rose Garden Policy
a) The fee will cover a period of five years, which will include the purchase andplanting of a rose and engraving of a plaque, and maintenance of the roseand plaque for five years
b) If the rose should die in the period covered by payment the Town Council will replace, at a cost to the Town Council, the rose and re-plant.
c) The fee will be payable in full on application
d) If the five year period lapses and there is no renewal of the contract the Town Council will retain the plaque for safekeeping but will re-use the rose in the cemetery
e) If, at the end of the five years, the member of the public wishes to keep the plaque and the rose, they can do so by arrangement with the Town Clerk.
f) The applicant may, if they so wish, renew the contract for another five years for the fee listed at the time of renewal.(See current fees)
g) The rose and plaque will be planted and maintained by the Town Council Cemetery Keeper. It will occupy the next plot available as determined by the Town Council.
h) The applicant is advised to inform the town council of any changes of address in order to enable contact to be made when renewal is due.
