Copy of further correspondence to Cllr R Trollope-Bellew in response to the submitted report “Road Maintenance and Sustainable Transport Improvements in Market Deeping” Summary – The fund is very specific so maintenance issues will not be addressed, nor will longer term projects. Temporary pavement widening, if feasible, could potentially be looked at in the next raft of measures. LCC are currently reviewing 20mph policy and a 20mph urban zone could work well in MD, so this may also be looked at. LCC take pragmatic approach to Aboards but will intervene if safety or free passage is inhibited. MD can, however, have one of the car shaped cycle stands if desired. . |
Noted. Members agreed to notify LCC of their disappointment of the lack of measures for Market Deeping. Members also agreed to request further details regarding the offer of a bike rack but it’s acceptance would be subject to its appropriateness in terms of style and size. |
