Market Deeping Town Council – Planning and Highways Committee

Minutes of a meeting of Market Deeping Town Council’s Planning and Highways Committee held on Wednesday 5th April 2023 at 7.00 pm.

Cllr Shelton presided over Cllr Mrs Redshaw, Cllr Dr Byrd, Cllr Brookes and Cllr Mrs Jones.  The Deputy Clerk was in attendance.   

134.    Chairman’s Welcome

The Chairman welcomed everyone to the meeting. 

135.   Apologies for Absences

Apologies were received from Councillor Wayne Lester prior to the meeting.

136.   To Receive Declarations of Interest under the Localism Act 2011

There were no declarations of interest. 

137.   Minutes from the meeting dated Wednesday 1st March 2023 

It was RESOLVED that the minutes of the meeting held on 1st March 2023 be signed as a true and accurate record.   The minutes were signed accordingly.

138.   Clerk’s Report

 

Comments

LCC Highways meeting scheduled for the 16 March was postponed and will be rescheduled to take place within the next few weeks.  The Deputy Clerk is liaising with LCC Highways to identify another date.

The Committee noted.

The new covered bus shelter located outside the former Towngate Inn had been ordered in January.  The Clerks have requested an installation date and the company have provided a provisional date of 25 April.  It was agreed at the Finance and Personnel meeting that the money allocated to purchase the bus shelter will be transferred to Ear Marked reserves so that the money is available to pay for it in 2023/24.

The Committee noted the update.

Section 106 Affordable Housing Contribution

The Committee welcomed confirmation from SKDC that all the funding had been received and that the legal agreement gives priority to the money being spent in Market Deeping on affordable housing.  The Committee would like the opportunity to discuss the options with SKDC.  The Deputy Clerk was asked to contact SKDC to request a meeting.

The Deputy Clerk had provided members with a report prior to the meeting.    Cllr Shelton asked members if there were any comments on the omega report and there were none.
