Public forum

There will be an Open Session prior to the full council meeting, commencing at 7.30pm lasting for a maximum of 30 minutes, where members of the public are invited to address the Town Council.  This will include five-minute reports from any County/District Councillors. The full council meeting will commence at 8.00pm or at the closure of the public forum, whichever is the sooner.

1. Chairman’s Welcome & Introductions

2. To note apologies and accept valid reason for Absence 

3. Declarations of Interest under the Localism Act 2011

4. Acceptance of minutes of a meeting held on 12 March 2025

5. Reports:  Including reports from Committees: Planning and Highways, DNP, AOS, Finance and Personnel, Mayor’s report and the Clerk’s report

6. Correspondence to be noted and resolved upon

7. Council Finances: 

a) Income & Expenditure by Cost Centre

b) Accounts to be paid for April 2025

c) For members to review Council Finances to 31.3.25

d) For members to receive and accept the internal auditor’s report for February 25

e) For members to review detailed income and expenditure to 31.3.25

f) For members to review Ear Marked Reserves

g) For members to review the asset register

h) For members to review Section 137 payments for 2024/25

8. For members to consider year end closedown and projected underspend for 2024/25

9. For members to consider a contribution of £500 towards the Funday Sunday event

10. For members to consider dog fouling in the Market Place - FG

11. For members to consider an updated logo with “Market Deeping Town Council” -FG

12. For members to consider the signing of the agreement regarding the old Police Station, to store flood and emergency equipment - DJ

13. For members to review the Risk Management plan and carry out an Annual Review of Risk Management arrangements for 2024/25

14. For members to review the meeting schedule for 2025/26

15. For members to consider a Grant aid contribution to Rotary fun run

16. For members to consider arrangements for forthcoming events: Annual Town Meeting 29th April, VE Day 8TH May, Defibrillator training 3rd June, Civic Sunday (date TBC) Funday Sunday 13th July and Xmas Market 30 November, Air Ambulance coffee.
